Club projects and convention swaps

I can't believe how long it's been since I posted but I have a really good excuse: SWAPS!!!!!!!!
That's right, I leave on Tuesday for the Stampin' Up! convention in Salt Lake City. It;s like CHA for SU demonstrators, lol!!! Oh and by the way, you can become a demonstrator right NOW for only $85!!! Just go to my SU website (link is on the right) and sign up, it's really easy. Anyway I have been working on my swaps the last two weeks and getting ready for stamp club. I also want to tell you about the SASSSC weekend, but that will be later (we had a blast!).

So first I'll show you some of the swaps I've been working on.

This one is for general swapping on the convention floor. It's from the Halloween Hoot set and uses the designer paper from Cast a Spell.

Next is a little goodie purse of kisses and also features Halloween Hoot and Cast a Spell.

This next one is for the WOW swap and is also a club project. I love the new butterfly punch. And now I will use my Flight of the Butterfly set more. I hate to hand cut anything, especially butterflies (or flowers), so this punch is GREAT! The pop-up was something I saw at the Heirloom Stamp show and was very easy to do! I used every bit of the olive glitter that comes in the glitter collection and I was probably wearing half of it!!!

These next two cards are also club projects.
I love the Dasher stamp! It is a single stamp that is in the under $10 section of the NEW SU catty. The club will make this one using real red and old olive. It also uses the new scalloped square die for the big shot and the perfect details texturz plate (both wonderful new additions)
I got this layout from a fabulous fellow stamper in my side line (thanks Terri)! It is hard to see, but the cardstock under the deer has been embossed with the perfect details plate.

Here is a trio of the same card using different color combos. Terri made the one with Soft Suede and Ruby Red. There is also one with Always Artichoke, mellow moss and Bravo Burgundy. I used the Quickie Glue Pen to trace the antlers and apply dazzling diamonds for some sparkle.

I am also swapping at the SCS dinner, a punch page swap, and a single layers swap. I ran out of ribbona nd old olive paper BUT my shipment is supossed to arrive today. I'm keeing my fingers crossed.

Heirloom Rubber Stamp Show

Tomorrow I am going to Dallas with some girlfriends and SASSSC members to attend the Heirloom Rubber Stamp and Paper Arts Festival. Friday night we are going to the make and takes and then we will shop and shop at the show Saturday and Sunday. I am going to enter the ATC contest and try to win some goodies. I have never done ATCs before, but found them to be really fun and inspiring and quick. The theme was "baby shower" which was lots of fun to do. Saturday night the SASSSC girls are having our Christmas in July party. I am on the planning committee and we have lots of surprises for the girls. We are trying to outdo the birthday party committee! lol! I'll have more about that afterwards, don't won't to let anything out of the bag yet!

Here are my baby shower ATCs. Most all products are from Stampin' Up!

Great Swaps!!!

I hosted the demonstrator's meeting this past Sunday at my house. Our group is called the Glitterin' Gals and we've been together over five years. Our upline is no longer an active demonstrator, but my side line has stayed strong and continues to recruit new demonstrators. They are a talented group as you can see from these swaps.

Goodies

Remember when I said I had won the Creatively Cute Bloggers' Challenge with this card? Well my prize goodies came today while I was out to dinner. It came in a Stampin' Up! box which had me puzzled since I couldn't think of anything that I had ordered that I was still waiting for. I thought I must have forgotten. But when I opened it and saw all the nice goodies inside I knew it was from Lil' Inker!! Thanks, Laura, I will enjoy all the nice surprises I found inside. Take a look! Paper, primas, stickers, ribbon, eyelets, diamond dots, gable box, photo album, and camera case.

Stamp Club projects and My Beach trip

It's been awhile since I posted and that is because I was on vacation with my entire family. There were 23 in all...my three boys, their wives or girlfriends, their children, my parents, my brother and sister-in-law, their two kids and spouses and kids. We went to a fabulous resort near Destin, Florida called Adagio. What a great place for a reunion. We rented two condos that had everything we needed and were decorated so nice. The pools (there were four!) were to best ever, and the beach was just a few steps away. We had perfect weather and the most fun. We've already booked it for the same time in 2011!

We tried soooo hard to get a group photo of all 7 of the great grand kids for my parents. This is the best one! lol! The boys were cooperative, but the two girls did not want to sit on the bed long enough for a good picture.

But now I have to get busy with my stamping. Let me tell you it was hard to be away from my stamping room the same week that the new catty came out!! This happens ever year, because my Dad likes to book our vacations this same week every year. But he pays for the trips so I'm not going to complain! Although, next year, he has booked a cruise for us that will be in August after convention.

So now I have stamp club to prepare, swaps to make for the demo meeting on Sunday, swaps to make for a SASSSC stamping retreat next weekend, more stamp club projects for July 31,and swaps to make for convention!!! When I see it down on paper like this I start to panic!

Okay, deep breath, here's what I have for tomorrow's club (have to make the third project when I finish this post). The first card uses Circle Circus. I got my inspiration from Lisa S at SCS. This pairs up Bermuda bay with black, crushed curry, and going gray. I put a piece of Bermuda bay through the cuttle bug and embossed it with dotted swiss, then lightly sanded over the raised dots. I love the new in color dotted ribbon which I used here. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes ( a new must have for every occasion) and punched with the new modern label punch.

Photobucket
This card was a case from Ilina Crouss, except I changed the color ink to rich razzelberry and old olive and added the razzelberry ribbon. The stamp set is from Kind and Caring Thoughts ( a level 3 hostess set).
