Sympathy card swap

I am really going to miss Baja Breeze and the Parisian Breeze paper. Fortunately I have a full pack of each that I can still play with. Here is my swap card for the SASSSC meeting on Saturday. I used the set Friends 24-7.

My AC quit last night during my scrapbooking class. It had worked fine all day. Then about 5:00 I noticed I was getting hot and looked at the thermostat and it registered 77. I knew it should read 74. By the time we went to bed it was 82. Right now it is 84. The AC man is coming this afternoon. I hope we just need freon and he can get the AC going quickly and cheap. It is already 90 degrees outside here is Houston and I'm sure it will be up in the high 90's by mid day.

Mojo Monday 85

I need to make a few more cards for my Parisian Breeze card class. I have wanted to make this card with the popped up blooms and the silver beads in the center ever since two of my sideline made some. Love the look of the silver microbeads! I used my blender pen and re-inkers to color the blooms and leaves right on the stamp with kiwi and baja breeze. The stems are chocolate chip marker.

More Parisian Breeze

Remember I said I was doing a series of cards using the Parisian Breeze paper? Well here is another one of those cards. I used three different patterns on the card front and mounted them onto Chocolate chip. There is one more that I will post tomorrow night. Check back.
Thanks for all the wonderful comments you have been leaving about these cards. I have enjoyed making them. I've said it before and will say it again, this is the bast designer paper!!! The color combo just makes the prettiest cards. You almost don't have to stamp anything, lol!

Parisian Breeze Mojo

I saw this card that was done for the mojo sketch and fell in love with it. So of course I had to try it too. I am making a series of cards featuring the Parisian Breeze specialty designer paper (my favorite dp) and my new favorite stamp sets (at least new to me) Fifth Avenue Floral, Friends 24-7, Soft Summer, and Great Friend.

Petal Pizzaz

I'm home today, didn't go to school! I went yesterday, but by lunchtime I had had enough and came home. Put my pjs on and crawled into bed. Didn't wake up till 7 pm, had some soup and was back in bed by 9. I had already arranged for a sub today so I wouldn't have to get up early. I have this terrible cough that has made my throat raw and my voice hoarse. So my plan today is to stay very quiet and let my throat heal. The cough seems to have quieted down. I have a terrible back ache, that may be from laying in bed too much? Anyway, I plan to go back to work tomorrow. I am a Kindergarten teacher and the flu has been going through my room (9 cases so far) and the other Kinder classes as well. That is the risk we take to educate your children! lol.
We put our health at risk daily!
Before I got sick, I made this card and was saving it to post yesterday. But of course I never made it to the computer yesterday! It uses a wonderful set called Petal Pizazz. I have seen many cards made with the set, many a lot prettier than this one. But I am not willing to hand cut out the flowers!!!! This card uses Jan Tinks color combo ( Rose red, baja blue, apricot appeal, choc chip) and Lil Inkers paper choice ( Parisian Breeze Specialty dp). It's called "specialty dp" because it has a design like the designer paper, but is printed on textured cardstock to make it special. The "thanks" is from a set called Thank You Kindly, and I really like the swirls on the letters. I used another one of the jumbo brads, this time in chocolate chip.
