Sympathy card swap

I am really going to miss Baja Breeze and the Parisian Breeze paper. Fortunately I have a full pack of each that I can still play with. Here is my swap card for the SASSSC meeting on Saturday. I used the set Friends 24-7.

My AC quit last night during my scrapbooking class. It had worked fine all day. Then about 5:00 I noticed I was getting hot and looked at the thermostat and it registered 77. I knew it should read 74. By the time we went to bed it was 82. Right now it is 84. The AC man is coming this afternoon. I hope we just need freon and he can get the AC going quickly and cheap. It is already 90 degrees outside here is Houston and I'm sure it will be up in the high 90's by mid day.

Mojo 84 sketch challenge

I made this card for my stamp club that is meeting this weekend and I used the mojo Monday sketch. I saw this glitter technique over on Paper Pleasing Ideas blog. She did a great tutorial that you can see here. I used the Friends 24-7 stamp for the flowers, and the pink and olive super fine glitter from Stampin' Up! The designer paper is from the occasions mini called A Walk in the Park. I wish you could see this card in person because the glitter is so pretty and sparkly. It looks sooo much better than the photo, trust me.

More Parisian Breeze

Remember I said I was doing a series of cards using the Parisian Breeze paper? Well here is another one of those cards. I used three different patterns on the card front and mounted them onto Chocolate chip. There is one more that I will post tomorrow night. Check back.
Thanks for all the wonderful comments you have been leaving about these cards. I have enjoyed making them. I've said it before and will say it again, this is the bast designer paper!!! The color combo just makes the prettiest cards. You almost don't have to stamp anything, lol!

Another Challenge card

I found this challenge over at iheart to stamp and had to participate. Can you tell I have alot of free time this weekend. Doesn't happen often and I am taking advantage of it and stamping up a storm, and loving it too. This is from Friends 24-7 and I used the scalloped oval frame die for the Big Shot.

Bella's Friends 24-7

I am probably on of the few SU demonstrators who waited until just now got the Friends 24-7 set. I loved it from the start, but didn't think I needed another set with a bird in it. Alas, I was wrong. This is a very nice set and easy to use! For this card I used the Bella Birds dp (so pretty), basic gray cardstock for the base and mat, and pink pirouette cardstock that is embossed with a dotted swiss embossing folder from Cuttlebug. I tied it with my last piece of basic gray taffeta ribbon. The image is colored with pretty in pink and old olive markers, shadowed with mellow moss.
