Flowers for Mother

I love the flowerpot cards they are posting over at SCS. I just had to try one. My favorite was one made by lesarapp that had a shabby chic look and dimensional flowers. She made hers using a scalloped heart nestivities for the petals. I dont have them. What I do have is SU's Simple Flower Embosslits. So I made three flowers in Pink Pirroutte and one in Old Olive designer paper. I crumpled up the three pink flowers, sponged the edges with Chocolate chip ink, and stacked them on top of the green flower (which is acting like the leaves) and secured them to the pocket that goes into the pot with brads. I will be showing this at my May stamp club (fyi, ladies). I embossed the pot with the dotted swiss embossing folder and used the scalloped eyelet punch along the flowerpot rim. There is a great tutorial by Stephanie Luman on how to make these.
