I am a member of a group of stampers known as the Sassy ladies. Our name stands for Simple and serious stampers swap club, Sassy for short. We meet each month and swap cards, eat, have a make and take, eat, learn tips and techniques, eat, and win door prizes. It is lots of fun. This month was our "Birthday Party" that we give to ourselves. Half of the members were on this committee. (I'm on the Christmas Party committee). This was our first one and these ladies really set the bar high! First we had a wonderful Mexican lunch with champagne/berry"tinis".
Then with the buzz, we had a make and take in which we made cute little party favors. We played SASSSC bingo and won marvelous bath products, and had our card swap. Just when I thought we were winding down, they pulled back a curtain to reveal the party set up in the dinning room. (They had said the curtain was hiding construction going on in that part of the house, but it was hiding this gorgeous birthday cake and table.
There were wrapped gifts at each place setting including this darling party hat box filled with embellishments.
Can you see how the box was covered with pretty paper and a really party had attached to the lid. Then the boa fluff was added. So clever!
But the main event was this yummy and beautiful cupcake cake made by one of the members.
But that wasn't all! They also had little cupcakes that were lemon, strawberry, and vanilla flavored. It was the Birthday Party that never ended. Anyway, these ladies were the BOMB!!!!
My Christmas committee has a high standard to meet in July!!!
