Happy Halloween!

I love My Digital Studio! I've created an album of family photos (but I have to keep it under wraps from the rest of the family until after Christmas, wink, wink). But I can show you the card I made. I've been completing the training that is available for SU demonstrators online, and one of the things you can create are greeting cards. I took this cute photo of my grandson last weekend while I was there on a visit(they live in the DC area)and turned it into a card. I used the Cast a Spell digital designer paper and the Eat, Drink & Be Scary digital stamp set.

Shimmery Thanks

I am on my way to my monthly meeting with the Sasssc girls. This month our swap theme is Thank You cards. This is also the end of our first year as a club. It's been lots of fun! We are ready for the new year to come!

Patterned Pines Embossed frame

Sunday, the Glittern' Gals, my side and down line, are getting together for a Christmas card swap and demonstrations. We will be showing the demos we did for our open house. We were all so busy that we didn't get to see each others demonstrations. Here's my card for the swap.

I made a covered button for the center of the bow. The whisper white cardstock was embossed with the Petals a Plenty embossing folder. Here's a link to Patty's
Stampin' Spot to see how to make this embossed oval. I add champagne mist shimmer paint to the embossed area and to the trees before I stamped them.

Punch art

When I attended convention last August, I participated in Punched Art swap. Many of my fellow demonstrators have wanted copies of the pages. So, thanks to Terry W. for scanning all the pages and making me a CD of them, I have created a slide show of all the swaps for your enjoyment. FYI, both my digital cameras have quit on me. Luckily both were still under a waranty. Well, the wonderful UPS man delivered my repaired camera today, and Office Depot sent me a gift card to replace my other camera!! So I will be able to take pictures of some new cards and scrapbook pages soon.

Cute Bride and Groom favors

At the Open House, one of our customers was showing off these darling Bride and Groom favor boxes, as well as the handmade wedding invitations she was making for some one's wedding. They were just gorgeous!

Open House Slide Show

What a wonderful turn out we had for the annual Customer Appreciation Open House that my side and down line hosts each year. We hold it at the club house of the Windsor Hills Subdivision near The Woodlands, Texas (just north of Houston). We had around 200 attend, even though it was Canton weekend, Roundtop weekend, the A &M game was in Dallas, and Huntsville was having their Festival in the Square. So there was alot of competition. At our Open House, all the demonstrators bring their retired SU stamps and other stamp related items to sell in the used stamp store. We also had six on-going demonstrations, two make and takes plus the Build a Bear workshop, lots and lots of display boards, door prizes every half hour, yummy snacks, and we collected cards for the Troops. These were full cards with envelopes that the troops can use to send home to their loved ones. Enjoy the slide show to get just a glimpse of the fun!

Shimmer Paint direct to paper and direct to stamp

Here is a card I made by dabbing the shimmer paint (I used Champagne Mist) directly to the paper and then punching out three ornaments with our new punch and tied with the silver cord, both found in the holiday mini. I also rubbed some shimmer paint across the embossed background. The ribbon is the new Sleigh Bells , also from the mini.

(This card may or may not be CASEd. It's been awhile since I made it and I honestly don't remember. If this is your card, let me know and I will post a link to your blog.)

Now this second card features the shimmer paint and the ink combined. First I inked the ornament stamps from Delightful Decorations with classic ink pads, and then dabbed on Champange Mist over the ink and stamped.
